Well, darn.
I was actually going to try and enter this one since it wasn’t going to be due until August. I’m a fan of contemporary fantasy, but was busy with home remodeling this month.

Re: May 2019 Challenge - The results
Woah. Was this the first, first place, Eddie? I remember at one point you were concerned about that but maybe that was a long time ago and I just zoned about it.
Regardless, congratulations. Seriously. If it is that elusive first, doubly so.

Re: July 2018 Flash Challenge: The Results
Gratulations Robin. It was a good race. Also well done Iain and Sergio. It's always a pleasure reading both your works. Lester's right, we need more voters, but that will come. The brand needs time to rebuild itself. (BTW, it's not actually Nathaniel. Nat is the short form of Nathaniel. Nate is the ...

Mine is first-drafted. Just need to let it sit for a day to mature, and then last edits.

Re: Flash Contest Format
I now see the reasoning behind 'the end' as how the threads are portrayed. But, just like a plastic five gallon bucket showing how a kid is not supposed to stick their head in or risk drowning, or the labeling of plastic that it will suffocate a person if sticking the bag over their head... I feel ...

Re: Flash Contest Format
And Iain, a stupid question on my part, why do the stories and such have to have 'the end' at the end? Because putting "The End" at the beginning would just be confusing. Duh. :P Just kidding. Well, I can't speak for which traditions Iain will follow, but I can tell you why I started doing it in th...

Re: Submitted stories
I've never agreed with the not commenting thing, Dan. You have the unique perspective of a publisher, which is something that could be extremely valuable to authors. That you are largely hands off to your department heads is beside the point. You've been successfully published yourself, know quite a...

I like it anonymous, but that should be no surprise, since that's the way I always did it. Doesn't mean the other way is wrong, of course.

So, his real name is Iain. Yes, Wormtongue, with the title poetry editor under his name is really Iain Muir. Now you know his secret identity. Re: Flash Contest Ideas
I'd say don't be afraid to really challenge the writers. Throw a sci-fi mystery, or fantasy romance, or even a magic realism superhero tale at them. Whatever you think would be a cool story to read, really. Those are the most fun to write as well. They've pretty much always risen to the occasion. P...

I guess not. I never looked at the post times before. I see two posts in a row from ente per ente, one says "I have an idea" and the other says, "I'm done, 90 minutes later", yeah I didn't know he was that fast. Sergio's the only writer I know who types so fast his fingers should create a sonic boo...

Ok, I've got one written for this, but I need to let it sit for a day or two before I send it. I might decide I need to change something, and I don't normally write one this fast. Best to wait a bit, and make sure everything makes sense.
