Alien Dandruff by Robin B. Lipinski

Wow!

I seldom comment on the poetry, but this one's terrific!
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

thanks for the kind words Lester, of course now I have to write another poem and using your 'thanks' as inspiration
I'll write this one for you.

Desire to Be
By: I just know it.

Sigourney Weaver, have you seen her?
Words of 'fine' come to mind
with her curves and sharp smile
and to think
she has been up into space
even cloned a couple of times;
fighting monsters, battling corporate greed
and yet?
she never seems to age...

I know her secret even though she won't tell
the reason for her endless beauty
and one of the reasons I wrote this months Aphelions poem;
it's in her hair
hidden
waiting for my brush,
for if I ever meet her
I'd comb the depths of her locks
and make a little tea from the released strands,
and then I'll live forever!
(you see, I know Sigourney is truly an alien, and like her, that is what I want to be.)

That's THE definition of a "bad hair day."
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

(a short poem)

A Bad Hair Day

long golden curls
gel of nair
bald faced lie to a jilted lover
'Vidal Sassoon' opaque in bottle
awash in revenge.

Mark, you're definitely getting into the groove of the record of writing, hopefully one day it will spin gold
or platinum but speaking from personal experience, my records always get pirated in China and then become
obsolete as DVD and digital take over, sigh...

Vates, you're correct about the static and it is a two way street. Thanks to the two of you for some further inspiration.

White Noise
By: A human

Moving from hair covering the ears and eyes
the flow, tempo, pulse,
coursing called life
I just can't see it.

I'm a hippie you see, "Peace"
into free love and pot
pink VW bus, beads, banging drums,
fighting against the man...

I'm an executive you see, "Profit"
into stocks and bonds
black Lexus, diamonds, beating first quarter estimates,
fighting against the man...

I'm a religious you see, "God"
into Sundays, organ music, the Bible,
yellow church bus, donations, a good sermon,
fighting against the man...

I'm a warrior you see, "War"
into winning and victory
gray steel tank, bullets, bombs,
fighting against the man...

I'm poor you see, "Hungry"
into trying to stay alive,
soggy cardboard box, stealing, food,
fighting against the man...

I am man
into everything
driver of a world
living a life
the life of me
heard across time and galaxy
and yet?
I cannot hear anything.
