Darn. I was hoping the NASA administrator would stuff the senator up one of the rocket's exhaust nozzles.

I was SO disappointed.

In all seriousness, though, this story wasn't very satisfying. Maybe it was the lack of a good build-up to the "event." The plot isn't very logical either; the aliens could have visited the senator anywhere, any time. And, in no case would I find it believable for him to tell anyone about it.
