Well at least they though about it first.

Hopefully it'll take 'em a while to get here.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?

Thanks Mark and thanks 'Aphelion staff' for putting up with this Robin B. Lipinski character.
Lester, methinks 'they' are already here and doing a splendid job of destruction.
In payment for posting I will pay with another poem dealing with destruction.

Trained well with the arts of war
Toys of youth being rocks and sticks
Remember?
Attacking the tree fort, taking prisoners, and torture with tuna fish sandwiches
or
Cowboys and Indian's with rubber arrows and cap guns.

Growing into a marvelous example of the warrior human species
Playing with atomic bombs and poisonous gas
with new social means of torture to include Facebook, twitter, and Fox news, CNN, Pravda
you know, the same old news?

Here is some news for this warrior species, some really good news!
War is coming today and tomorrow, war unlike any before
oh, there will be so much death and destruction
so much horror and pain
with billions of bones covering the plains...

In the meantime, watch the young humans practice with violent video games
tree forts and torture
rocks and sticks...
for this advanced species of monkeys, some things never change.

I loved the last one Mark and the inspiration.

They Control the Strings

Look into a mirror lately?
Beyond the pimples and stubble
Deep below the foundation
Look hard at what lays between your ears.

"I'm looking and all I see is perfection"
or
"I can't stand the way I look"

You didn't look hard enough as you only glimpse creation.

You said, "I'll do this today," and didn't
You said, "I'll lose weight today," and didn't
You say a lot such as, "I'm looking and all I see is perfection," or "I can't stand the way I look."

And yet you wonder?
Why?
How did what happen, happen?

Look deep inside.
Blood pumping.
Cells humping.
Bacteria on parade.

Viral infiltration.
Electro stimulation.
And yes, those lovely thoughts of sex.

The question then should be changed.
Not; have you looked into a mirror recently?
to
have you figured out who pulls the strings?
