Aphelion

The very first paragraph sounds like one of Rod Serling's little introductory monologues, and the rest of the story fulfills that expectation. I think it would be better without that last sentence in the first paragraph.

Pretty well done, but there were a few spots where it could have used more attributions; I got confused about who was speaking.

I like how Snopes derides Edelman, but turns out to be just like him, or maybe worse.

I wouldn't mind reading more from this author.
