Outstanding workmanship on this one.
The only thing I can find to critique in this story is the ability of people to safely go outdoors on Mars. Without much of a magnetic field, it wouldn't be safe, even with an atmosphere.
That's not much to quibble about, and everything else about the story is very high caliber, especially the way it's structured.
Good job. Read it!
