Gusts by Matt Kolbet

Post by kailhofer »

This thread is for comments on Matt Kolbet's story, "Gusts."

I picked this story for this issue because I thought the protagonists slide into corruption with his wishing powers was an interesting take on the human condition.

Was he really "ill" as his father judged, or did the wishes do it to him?

TANSTAAFL revisited ... and maybe a warning to read the fine print before signing.

Brilliant plot, but the style seemed just a little stiff to me. That might have been intentional, though; the material deserved a cold touch.

Good job. None of the same-old, same-old; this one's different.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
