On Paper, Rock and Water

Post by Megawatts »

I liked this story from beginning to end. Arun lived in a totalitarian society, worked as a brewer but didn’t like it and wanted to do something else. That something else was forbidden! Arun wanted to be an artist, but art work had been outlawed. Yet, he drew pictures at night.

The story follows the theme of a citizen getting caught doing something illegal in a totalitarian society, and we get to hear the inner thoughts of Arun after being sentenced to a moon for the remainder of his life.

Good descriptions, good word choices, good sentence lengths and good dialogue.

Good Job
