I am not sure Aphelion should publish stories like this one. Its too good. Might give the rest of us an inferiority complex.

A Creative story and one that did hold my interest from beginning to end—and I enjoyed it very much! That’s all that a good story can offer.

I like the twist about Pete, and I liked the independence of the ship’s computer at the end, for it decided to rebel and think for itself. With the autonomous computer systems being developed today and Robotic, we are on the threshold of a new world with thinking machines in the not-to-distant future.

At the end, the ship’s sentient computer might have fell in love with Wendy, and I believe it did because the twist about Pete would suggest the use of further twists!

A good story, short but interesting.

Nice job---this author's got talent!
