I really loved the characters, but I think I see what word use you're talking about. I noticed that the story even though it has a lot of fantasy elements, the way the characters spoke seemed really modern. I liked that a lot though, it gave it a unique feel.

I liked the story, and it was pleasant to read. The characters were believable, and the dialogue was fitting.

Nice fantasy story with all the elements working together.

:) Great job on the novella orestes, i really like the relationship between the 3 children and also the bond that laz has with his father. I really enjoy the angle in which the story is being told. I cant wait for the next one. 2 thumbs way up :)
