I am not a horror fan these days, but there is a problem with this story, in that it violates one of main the rules of horror fiction writing and that is while evil and strong thrive, the very good or the very strong survive. Only the weak are destroyed. Jane does not appear to be weak and there is no reason to think her evil.

A reader wants to get something from a story. It may be a moral, or sentiment, or humor or sadistic pleasure. I got no satisfaction from Jane's fate because she did not appear to deserve it.

I am glad that I read this story even though I did not like it because it helped me clarify my own ideas of what I seek from fiction.

Thank you Robert Pettus.

An interesting story that reminded me of other tells with similar themes. Nice into in which my interest in the story was captured, and my interest remained until the end.

Too many exclamation marks were used. Cut down on their usage for too many eliminate their effectiveness and they become dull.

Nice read.
