There have been quite a few stories where "Imaginary Friends" committed violent acts on behalf of the children who created them. However, in those stories, the "friends" usually turn out to be either ghosts, or manifestations of paranormal powers (with the child's subconscious mind in the driver's seat). This story presents an unusual premise: that 'imaginary friends' are independent entities, and that under extreme and terrible circumstances, they can become real physical beings (who in turn qualify to have their OWN imaginary friends).

The revenge fantasy element, where the monster in human guise gets semi-blunt instrumented into steak tartare, is just a bonus (well, bone-us, meat-us, blood-us, brains-us, ...
