Wreck by Steven E. McDonald

Post by Robert_Moriyama »

... sounds like something that might have been excerpted in the 'quotations' that appear at the beginning of each episode of the Andromeda TV series -- which isn't surprising, since Mr. McDonald has just written an Andromeda novel!

Nicely evokes the loneliness of a wrecked spacecraft and the lost dreams it represents.

I'm not sure why the captain would have been 'atomised', however; killed, certainly, when his ship lost atmosphere, but atomised?

... Hey Dan, did you notice that ANOTHER pro (with several published novelizations, plus credits in series television) had a poem in this month's issue? Aphelion's rep must be spreading throughout the speculative fiction and fantasy universe ...

Robert M.
You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.
