Obviously, I'm still around, still contributing stories and lettercol comments on a fairly regular basis. One reason authors tend to disappear after a while is that they are trying (and sometimes succeeding) in placing stories in paying markets. Others simply run out of time or energy due to changes in their lives (work, school, family).<br><br>Have fun random-walking through the back issues/archives ...<br><br>(FYI, all the stories under my byline with the word "Matter" or "Matters" are part of the same series. Ideally, they should be read in chronological order -- a point that bugs Cary Semar, as he thinks that makes them into something that could be classified as a serial rather than stand-alone stories.)<br><br>Robert M.
