I'll be there if I can, but I need to find out the date(s) you'll be here. I have an old friend coming to Ohio from the West coast that month, so there might be a conflict. I need to find out when he'll be here. Let us know the dates as soon as you can.

That might be close. My friend will be here on or around the 10th; I've got to wait for him to send me particulars.
Hope to make it; it might be an unusually busy few days for me!

I'm getting ready to head out. I'll be visiting some friends near Dayton and stay overnight with them, then on to the meeting tomorrow. See you there!

Well, we made it again, and everyone went home with mementos—this is turning into an annual gift exchange, lol!
Sergio is extremely generous, and I very much appreciate that. I can count on a nice chocolate binge after each of these get-togethers.
I got one picture, courtesy of the nice bartender at the hotel. You'll notice I look a little different ... I hadn't seen my face in so long I decided to uncover it. I discovered the beginnings of a chin-wattle, so I think I'll grow the fur back, but I'm willing to entertain arguments to the contrary.

I didn't sleep there, but the spookiest thing I noticed about that hotel was its free indoor parking. FREE parking—IN the building. You can't help but be suspicious of something like that.
Didn't either of you others get any other pictures? I know the ones in the bar would be redundant, but maybe one of them caught me with a better expression on my face. Or any expression at all; I look like I'd just been flashed by the MIB instead of my own camera. Maybe I should work on that.
Also, seeing that the gift exchanges are lately including publications, remind me to ask for autographs next time.
