"Plantigrade People," by Lester Curtis

Post by Lester Curtis »

I just wanted to explain this before the question marks start popping up.

The premise behind the song is that, when we finally do get out into space and meet ET, he'll be digitigrade (like most of the larger animals living on Earth) -- and he'll make fun of us, in our own language and musical styles.

I thought of writing a musical response, but . . . have you ever tried using the word 'digitigrade' in a song verse? It'll wait.

I hope you enjoy it.

Maybe that will work a little better once you've translated it into ET's native language . . .

Oh, and good luck with their guitar tunings . . .
