Puppetry...

Post by Robert_Moriyama »

It was the image of the possibly-dead Radcliffe being used as a puppet (with blood from his finger used to place notes on the page) that really grabbed me...
You can't wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.

This one held my attention. Reminded me of older writers, like Poe and some others that often used the first person.

Again, the intro reminded me of Poe and Jules Verne. It did get my attention and the story held my interest until the end.

The read was spine-tingling, eerie and very entertaining right up to the end. Good use of word choice in this narrative, and clear scenes that jumped into my mind‘s eye.

Some stories write scenes that are confusing and hard to visualize.

Opium is mentioned, and during the time frame of this story, it was legal. I don’t think it was an opium induced nightmare that was shared by both.

The entity from space is quite an enigma for it seems to be trying to communicate, but has killed a life force here on earth to accomplish that. It might have been an alien criminal, who knows.

Liked the story, thought it was above average.
