Frontier Minerva by Anne Spackman

Here we have a most excellent and detailed description of life in colonial space in the future, and it seems all quite plausible.

I was a little surprised at myself; I didn't get bored or bothered with all the descriptive narrative that took up so much of the story. It really was very well done.

What did bother me was that the tone got a little preachy at the end, with Mezzini's monologue. And I was hoping the regulator was going to hesitate a little.

It's a bitter ending, for sure; not what we so often look for. Very well done, though.
I was raised by humans. What's your excuse?
