Wow. Profoundly creepy.
A few punctuation errors, and a little too much telling vs showing, but otherwise quite powerful.
Reminiscent of old Twilight Zone shows. Well done.

I agree with Lester on this one. It did remind me of the old Twilight Zone; especially one episode in which Gig Young played.
In that episode one could pick the face he/she wanted when he/she came of age. However, the girl that the episode was centered around must have had a medical condition, for her change didn’t work. She remained the same, I think. It's been over fifty-years since I've seen that episode, for I must have missed that re-run on the Twilight Zone marathons that run on the Sci-Fi channel sometimes.
I don't think this story was a copy.
